Yoga Pose Indoors

Yoga therapy is a personalised approach to wellbeing that uses practices drawn from yoga, including movement, breathing techniques, relaxation and meditation, to support physical and mental health.

Rather than focusing on fitness or flexibility, yoga therapy adapts practices to the individual, helping to regulate the nervous system, reduce stress and anxiety, improve resilience, and support recovery from a range of health challenges.

Sessions are tailored to each person’s needs and aim to provide practical tools that can be used in everyday life to promote long-term balance and wellbeing.

Your yoga therapist has completed advanced training with The Minded Institute, integrating neuroscience, psychology and trauma-informed practice with yoga therapy, going far beyond standard yoga teacher training and obtaining specialist skills to work safely with mental health and stress-related conditions, so you can be reassured that sessions are delivered safely, thoughtfully and with a high level of professional skill.

What to expect in a yoga therapy session

Yoga therapy sessions last 50 minutes and are tailored to your individual needs and goals.

Sessions usually include a combination of gentle movement, therapeutic breathing practices, relaxation and mindfulness techniques, with time to reflect on what you are experiencing and how to apply practices in daily life.

Penny commonly works with people experiencing stress, anxiety, panic, burnout, sleep difficulties, low mood, and stress-related physical symptoms, as well as those living with long-term health conditions or recovering from periods of illness who want practical tools to support both physical and emotional wellbeing.

Sessions are available in person in Cardiff and Brecon, and online via zoom.
